Happy Easter everyone! Hope everyone is having an Easter-ific time. ^_^ I know many stores are closed BUT! Today i bring to you a DOUBLE RELEASE!!! We have Tokyo Alice Chapter 3 and Itoshi no Niina Chapter 5! Excited? Excited? Well hope on to our forum where you can find the releases! Please thank the staff members who helped with these two chapters. Recieving Thanks is like food to us. Including your love, appriciation, and patients. ^_^

Also, we are recruting a J-E translator for Honya no Mori no Akari. Just a warning though, it's wordy and there's no furigana. Happy Early St. Patrick's Day! And A Release! O.O!

Happy Early St. Patrick's Day!!! I bring you today Machi de Uwasa no Tengu no Ko Chapter 03, available on the forum. I know I know it's been awhile since our last release, but please bare with us. A few of our staff members either went MIA or had to leave, so we can only do what we can. With that said we are still Recruiting!! J-E Translators, Editors (please be familiar with Photoshop), QCers, and a few Proofreaders. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to those who's already contacted us. We here at Antebellum really appreciate it.

Ok, i would also like to take this time to address a few things.

-Hosting: Please wait 2-3 days after we've released. I would like to at least have traffic on the site and forum.

-Hosting on Online Viewing sites: Same as hosting, wait 2-3 days before uploading on those sites. Also, leave all our credits and ads in as well. I do check from time to time since i read from those sites.

NO Hosting on sites where members have to pay to view. Either for manga or anime. Meaning if they have to pay for a membership or subscription or whatever. That's a no no! Why do they have to pay to read it when they can just get it free on our site?

Happy Valentine's Day/Single Awareness Day!!! <3

Happy Valentine's Day/Single Awarness Day everyone! Today marks our first release in the new year. There were plans to have releases earlier in the new year but, again, life got in the way. So instead we're releasing today! There's also another thing we would like to mention in today's release, and that is that Antebellum Scans is 1 year and 6 days old! Our 1 year anniversary was actually on the 8th! I can't believe we were able to pull through a whole year, even with all the craziness that went on. I would like to thank everyone who's been with Antebellum during our rough ride. I apologise for not having enough releases out even when we've been around a year. Hopefully, this year will be better and we'll have more releases out for you all. ^_^

So on to today's release. It's a joint with the lovely people from Shinnen. A new series in the new year, Jiu Jiu.

Haha... Forgot today was Chinese New Year! >.< So HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone! And look! We have another release for you! Tokyo Alice Volume 01 Chapter 02 can be downloaded in the forum.

Hey everyone! I thought i share some news i came across from Googling. Turns out there was a stage play for Tokyo Alice! How cool is that!



The play was from May 8th to the 17th of 2009 in Tokyo. Too bad there's none to view online. BUT! I think there's going to be a DVD released of the stage play. I think there's an original character in the stage play too. A fortune teller.
So there you go. Just a little something i wanted to share. ^_^

It's 2010!!!

I can't believe it's already eight days into 2010! How was everyone's New Year? I wish i could say mine was a blast but it was my rest day from work so i really didn't get to do anything. Hope it was memorable for those who did get to celebrate it. ^_^ I would also like to Thank all of Antebellum followers. I know we're a really slow group so i thank everyone who's patient with us, as well as groups we have joints with. Thank you for putting up with us. Now I know you guys were hoping for a release but i'm sorry. There are none this time. But! From what i hear, we should be having a release soon.

Also, if you guys haven't noticed, the broken images have been fixed on the site and the forum. I didn't have a copy of the old logo on the forum so i made a new one. I know it's simple but I like it, and I hope you guys do too. ^_^

And once again, we are still Recruiting. We are in DIRE need of a J-E translator(s). Hmm... I think we are also looking for an experianced Editor as well as a QCer. Just email me at AntebellumScanlations@yahoo.com to apply.

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I just want to say THANK YOU to all Antebellum Scanaltions followers. We are very greatful you guys have been understanding and patient with our slow releases. I would also like to thank all of our hard working staff. You guys are just too AWESOME!!!

Also, I want to apologize for the look of our site and forum. The reason is mentioned in the post below. Since we're not as experianced in making layouts and such please bear with our look tests... Unless.... someone is kind enough to help? ;) Or you can just mention some helpful site for beginners or have some tips and tricks to share that would be nice too.

Release #8: A Revival!

December 22, 2009

Several weeks had passed by, then months... with no news of a Nina release. There were a lot of curious people wondering if we would still be continuing with the project. The answer is (most emphatically): Yes!

In the meanwhile, Antebellum's founder has gone missing, and her accounts have gone inactive, so please excuse the look of our forum and website for now. (It's hideous, we know.) They'll be under construction for the next month or so, so please bear with us.

With that said, we're here to release another chapter of the long-awaited Itoshi no Nina Ch. 4.Nina releases will be more consistent from now on, as it is our top priority. Please look forward to seeing Ch. 5 soon!

Release #7 A Translator's Diary: Another New Series!

My mother had been standing around all morning hounding me about the dozens of manga stacked up all over the floor of my bedroom, while I was clicking furiously away on my laptop in hopes of wrapping up QC for Tokyo Alice by tonight. I think she must have realized after a few hours that I can never hear people when I'm immersed in my work, because she left a post-it note on the door that read: CLEAN YOUR ROOM!

The staff at Antebellum hope we haven't disappointed you readers by being a bit slow with releases. If we're slow, it's only because we are in dire need of another J-E translator who can lighten my load. Aside from that, we'd like to make it up to you with this release of Tokyo Alice Chapter 1. This manga is dedicated to all you shopaholics. I understand your suffering more than you'd know!

Release #6 A New Series!

OMG! Our last release was a little more than 2 months ago! I apologize for our lack of frequent releases but we are still very alive! It's just that life has kept us busy... >.< Well, today we bring to you Chapter 01 of a NEW series, Gozen 3-ji no Muhouchitai (3AM Dangerous Zone)! You can download the chapter in the forum and it'll be available in a few days on the site.

Also, welcome another addition to the Antebellum Scanlation family as an editor, rmdichos! :) And, sadly i would have to say that Editor positions are now closed. Hello Antebellum-ers! In Numerology, the number 4 represents Stability, so what better way to say that we, as a new group, are here to stay forever and ever, or maybe for awhile, than our 4th release! It's been a crazy couple of months here for the Antebellum staff (we've all got so busy-busy-busy lately), but we realize you Nina readers have been wriggling in your chairs for some time, dying for the latest tidbits of news over what the future holds for our luckless protagonist, Atsushi. So after many sleepless nights and a crate of energy drinks later, we bring you our latest release of none other than Itoshi no Nina Chapter 3. Please enjoy. ^^ Direct downloads will be posted on the website a few days after the forum release. As always we are looking for staff, especially a capable J-E translator. We are also looking for editors for many other projects we'd love to work on but can't find the time to do. Some of our new projects are Junai Rosen and Narcissist Shin-sama, and we would love to have staff to help speed up the process and get these projects out faster. A Little Update...

Hello! How's everyone? How's the weather where you are? Here, it's been hot... ~.~ Well sorry to say but no release this time. We do, however, have a new project that's just been added to the Upcoming list. The project is called Osusume Boyfriend by Ikuemi Ryou. The same mangaka as Itoshi no Niina. Oh and yes I know we're a Josei group but from time to time we will be working on some Shoujo manga. Whatever sparks an interest in us. ^^

Release #3! A Promise Kept

Hey everyone! How's summer going so far? i hope all is well and everyone is keeping themselves cool. Like i mentioned in the previous post, we have a release today! Didn't think it would be this soon huh? It's Chapter 01 of a new project call Machi de Uwasa no Tengu no Ko. It's a joint with the ever lovely ShoujoMagic. I'm am just so excited to be doing a joint with them since they were pretty much the first shoujo scanlating group i ever visited and followed. XD

We're Still Alive!

Hey everyone! Wow I can't believe we haven't updated since March! Well I just wanted to let everyone know we here at Antebellum is still alive and kicking. And i'm sorry to say but there is no release this time, but have no fear! We will have a release very very soon.

Also, I'd like to take this time to mention we are still recruiting for every position. We're looking for J-E translators, Editors, QCers, and Proofreaders. So if you feel confident enough or for even the teeniest tiniest bit then take the test and join! Don't worry we won't bite. ^_^

Happy Friday the 13th! I hope no black cats have crossed anybody's paths! Anybody else excited for Spring Break? I can't wait. It'll be nice not to have to wake up before the sun rises. XD

We have some updates since the last release. We've added two new projects to our list, Gozen 3-ji no Muhouchitai and Tokyo Alice. Two great series so please look forward to them and Machi de Uwasa no Tengu no Ko is going to be a joint with ShoujoMagic so please look forward to that as well!

Also, we have a new website. We are being hosted by the incredible Chanlu, they are even hosting our files for us so yay to no more file sharing sites!

I know I said in the last post that our next release would be Honya no Mori no Akari buuut it's not going to be. I hope nobody minds another chapter of Itoshi no Niina! I know I don't. ^__^

Our First Release

We are releasing our first release! Yay! This group was started just over a week ago and the staff is so incredible and very hardworking, thank you! This is only possible because of you guys!

Today's release is the first chapter from a series called Itoshi no Niina by the amazing Ikuemi Ryou. I love this series and I hope you all do too!
